Deadline: 17 February, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\nThis panel seeks a contributor to complement three graduate students
\npresenting papers on city planning and architecture in postwar cities in
\nthe U.S., Latin America, and Europe\/Soviet Union, respectively. We welcome
\nprojects on any geographic region, but are particularly interested in
\nprojects in Africa, South Asia, or East Asia that might contribute to the
\nglobal reach of the panel. Our papers will examine multinational
\ncollaboration among built environment professionals in addressing rapid
\nurbanization along the US-Mexico border, in urban transportation networks
\nof three Latin American cities (Santiago, Sao Paulo, and Mexico City), and
\nin rebuilding the urban landscape of postwar Europe. How did competing
\nsocialist and capitalist politics materialize in planning and building the
\npostwar urban environment?<\/p>\n
