Deadline: 1st May 2012, 5pm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UCL Cities Methodologies 2012<br \/>\nInaugurated in 2009, Cities Methodologies is a pan-UCL initiative to showcase innovative methods of urban research. Through exhibits and events, it draws together undergraduate, masters, and doctoral research, alongside work produced by academics, and the wider community of urban researchers. Proposals are invited from UCL staff, students and alumni, and other researchers who are developing and using innovative methods to understand cities and urbanization.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nCities Methodologies aims to promote cross- andinter-disciplinary work, and to showcase recent research on a wide range of cities. Visitors to Cities Methodologies encounter diverse methods of urban research in juxtaposition from archival studies to statistical analyses, practice-led art and design work to oral history, writing, walking, film-making and photography.<br \/>\nProposals for exhibits and events that engage with the city are invited from any discipline<br \/>\nThis year we are particularly &#8211; though not exclusively &#8211; interested in receiving proposals related to the themes of:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Collaborative\/public methods for urban research<br \/>\n&#8211; Mega events and urban change<br \/>\n&#8211; Housing and dishousing<\/p>\n<p>We are not able to contribute towards the costs of production or display of exhibits.<br \/>\nWe also invite proposals for a UCL undergraduate, postgraduate or graduate student to collate an experimental public archive of Cities Methodologies 2012 and its associated visual\/audio\/textual data (a modest budget is available to support this \u00e2\u20ac\u201c include a request with your proposal).<br \/>\nFurther details and the proposal form are available via the UCL Urban Laboratory website at www.ucl.ac.uk\/urbanlab<http:\/\/www.ucl.ac.uk\/urbanlab><br \/>\nTo submit a proposal please complete the form and follow the submission instructions, returning it to:<\/p>\n<p>Laura Hirst<br \/>\nUrban Laboratory Administrator<br \/>\nLaura Hirst laura.hirst.10@ucl.ac.uk <mailto:laura.hirst.10@ucl.ac.uk><br \/>\nby 1st May 2012, 5pm.<br \/>\nJoint and group applications are particularly welcomed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UCL Cities Methodologies 2012 Inaugurated in 2009, Cities Methodologies is a pan-UCL initiative to showcase innovative methods of urban research.
