The Leverhulme Trust funded Cultures of the Suburbs International Research Network is pleased to announce the launch of its new website at

The Network is a partnership between the Universities of Exeter and Kingston (UK), Witwatersrand (South Africa), Hofstra (USA), Griffith (Australia) and the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. It aims to further the scholarly, professional and public understanding of the cultures of the modern (post-1900) suburbs through international and interdisciplinary research. Launched in 2011, the project\u2019s interests are transhistorical, international and cross-disciplinary. The Network facilitates research, organises events and conferences and fosters collaboration between scholars, community groups, professionals and other interested parties.<\/p>\n
The website is an important feature of the Network and hosts a wealth of online information about suburban cultural studies for scholars, professional groups and local communities.
